We are thrilled to announce the 156 Entrepreneurs who have made it to the 2021 Pow Wow Pitch Semi-Finals out of more than 1,600 applicants!
This year’s Box features beautiful art by Indigenous Artist Chief Lady Bird. The piece selected for the Box’s design is bright, floral and represents growth, nurturing and a celebration of culture and the land.
Between June 21st and July 15th, Indigenous entrepreneurs can submit a 1-minute video business pitch as their entry into the Pow Wow Pitch Competition. Indigenous (Inuit, Métis or First Nations) people living anywhere on Turtle Island of any age or gender with an idea or business at any stage and in any industry can apply.
Du 21 juin au 15 juillet, les entrepreneurs autochtones pourront soumettre une vidéo de présentation d’une minute pour participer au concours Pow Wow Pitch. Les Autochtones (Inuits, Métis ou membres des Premières Nations) des quatre coins de l’Île de la Tortue, de tous les âges et de tous les genres ayant une idée ou une entreprise à n’importe quelle étape de son développement et de n’importe quelle industrie peuvent participer.
Pow Wow Pitch features the poems on a limited and exclusive collection of T-Shirts and wristbands available on the Pow Wow Pitch Shop. The Shop launched today to raise funds to create an Indigenous Entrepreneur Seed Fund to provide early-stage Indigenous entrepreneurs with micro-grants to start a business and take that next step on their entrepreneurial journey.
Throughout the month of June, Pow Wow Pitch will announce new partnerships with industry leaders, new collaborations with Indigenous artists and businesses, drop its first podcasts, and announce the opening of applications for the 2021 Pow Wow Pitch and Indigenous Entrepreneur Awards.
