Pow Wow Pitch, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs, proudly announces the extension of its longstanding partnership with Canada Post through 2024. This enduring collaboration reflects the shared commitment to empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth across Canada.
Canada Post plays a vital role in supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs by providing access to shipping opportunities and essential tools for success. With its extensive reach, Canada Post ensures that Indigenous businesses, regardless of their location, can connect with customers across Canada and internationally.
As part of the partnership, Canada Post will actively participate in Pow Wow Pitch events across the country. Experts from the company will serve as mentors, advisors, and judges, offering guidance to aspiring Indigenous entrepreneurs. In addition, Canada Post will provide expertise on shipping, e-commerce, logistics, and marketing during Pow Wow Pitch Indigenous Entrepreneur’s Bootcamp in June, empowering entrepreneurs to learn how to grow their business.
Danielle Doiron, General Manager, Marketing at Canada Post, expressed Canada Post’s commitment to supporting Indigenous entrepreneurship: “As part of our ongoing commitment to support small businesses and strengthening all communities across Canada, we are proud to continue our partnership with Pow Wow Pitch. In this fifth year, we look to enable Indigenous entrepreneurs across the country and help them start, grow and scale their business for success. We are proud to be part of these Canadian business journeys. “
Naomi Sarazin, Executive Director of Pow Wow Pitch, remarked, “This collaboration with Canada Post isn’t just about business; it’s about access, reconciliation, and shared growth. By joining forces, we’re not only opening doors for Indigenous businesses but also forging a path towards genuine economic empowerment and cultural resurgence. This partnership exemplifies the vital role of Crown corporations in walking alongside Indigenous communities and contributing to a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.”
As part of the partnership, Pow Wow Pitch’s Founder, Sunshine Tenasco, will also serve as a Judge on the Canada Post Tales of Triumph panel, further deepening the ties between the organizations and showcasing their shared commitment to uplifting Indigenous entrepreneurs.
By investing in mentorship, providing essential resources, and fostering a supportive ecosystem, Canada Post and Pow Wow Pitch are not only uplifting Indigenous entrepreneurs but also contributing to the economic prosperity and cultural resilience of Indigenous communities across Canada.
