2024 Impact Report
A Transformative Year to Celebrate
What a year! 2024 was all about transformation, growth, and new beginnings. In January, we proudly welcomed Naomi Sarazin as our new Executive Director. Naomi is an Anishinabekwe from the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation and has been a visionary leader, bringing passion and purpose to her role. She worked diligently to establish our inaugural Board of Directors, esteemed professionals and entrepreneurial leaders who bring a wealth of expertise, diverse perspectives, and a deep commitment to good governance. Their strategic guidance is already shaping Pow Wow Pitch’s next chapter with clarity and purpose.
Throughout the year, the Board collaborated closely with our partners at Sklar Wilton & Associates to develop Pow Wow Pitch’s first-ever 5-year strategic plan. Taking effect from 2025 to 2030, this strategy will provide a roadmap for sustainable growth, deeper impact, and expanded opportunities as we continue empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs and amplifying their stories to inspire future generations.
Here’s to the exciting journey ahead as we work together to turn our vision into reality!

Transforming and Growing Pow Wow Market
Pow Wow Market is an online marketplace that was officially launched in December 2023 and is a platform for Pow Wow Pitch Alumni to grow their online impact. With inspiration from vendor markets at traditional powwows, Pow Wow Market is a platform for Indigenous brands to shine and reach new audiences with the support of the Pow Wow Pitch community.
In 2024, we expanded our selection of Indigenous brands to 35 on Pow Wow Market and launched eleven monthly collections, featuring curated products from both new and existing brands. All brands featured on the Pow Wow Market are Alumni of the Pow Wow Pitch program and contribute 15% of sales to the Alumni Fund.
Pow Wow Pitch partnered with Shopify and received support from Huemor to reveal a fresh look and redesign, offering a seamless shopping experience on the Pow Wow Market. This enhancement includes an elevated brands page that showcases the faces and stories behind each Indigenous brand. We also added value propositions to our homepage to highlight Pow Wow Market’s mission and introduced an Alumni page to guide Pow Wow Pitch Alumni on how to join the platform and access new opportunities to grow their brands and reach broader audiences. These updates help us better serve as a platform that celebrates the achievements and growth stories on the incredible brands we feature. Shop now and make a difference with every purchase!.
